Georgi Kapitanov, Ph.D., brings over a decade of senior modeling leadership to pharma and biotech programs across every stage of development — from early target validation through IND-enabling studies and regulatory submission.

He served most recently as Senior Director of QSP at Certara, and prior to that was a key scientific driver at Applied BioMath before its acquisition by Certara. He began his industry career in the Translational Modeling and Simulation group within Biomedicine Design at Pfizer.

Throughout his career, Georgi has led dozens of high-impact modeling projects spanning discovery through IND-enabling studies across oncology, immunology, rare disease, and gene therapy. He is an expert in translating complex, mechanistic biology into actionable clinical dose projections and optimized trial designs.

He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
